About the Community Development Department
Welcome to the Community Development Department. We invite you to visit our services and programs designed to benefit residents, neighborhoods, employers, and job-seekers of the City of Westminster.
The Community Development Department plays one of the biggest roles in assuring Westminster remains a livable, competitive and sustainable City well into the 21st century. Accomplishing this takes wise planning and efficient service. The Department works closely with other City departments, the City Manager's Office and the City Commissions in establishing and carrying out goals that will preserve Westminster's quality of life.
The Community Development Department is responsible for providing services in land use controls, building construction regulation, administration, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, and low/moderate income housing.
The Community Development Department is currently overseen by Sheri VanderDussen, Interim Community Development Director.
