Councilwoman Amy Phan West is a passionate advocate for preserving the American Dream and ensuring it thrives for future generations. 

Born to immigrant parents who fled the Communist regime of Vietnam in 1985, her family's journey included two years in refugee camps before finding asylum in the United States.

Having experienced first-hand the value of the freedom and liberties that America promises, Councilwoman Phan West is resolute in her commitment to protecting these principles. She is particularly concerned about the erosion of rights, the censorship by "Big Tech," and the challenges faced by small businesses.

Councilwoman Phan West is an alumna of Orange Coast College and holds a degree in Education from Cal State University of Long Beach.  Currently, Councilwoman Phan West owns an independent rental consortium. 

Currently serving on the West Orange County Water Board, she is also a President's Appointee to the League of California Cities (Cal Cities) Policy Committee on Public Safety and a Board Trustee for the Orange County Mosquito & Vector Control (OCMVC).

Jeremy West and Councilwoman Amy Phan West are proud to be raising three young sons.  They enjoy engaging in activities such as camping, dirt biking, snowboarding, mountain biking, and many other life adventures.
