Elected November 2022

Council Member Nguyen is proud to join the City Council of Westminster. Council Member Nguyen has previously served this community on the Westminster Traffic Commission. A graduate of UC Irvine, Council Member Nguyen has a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and owns a small business in Westminster.

Council Member Nguyen immigrated to this country from Vietnam in 1994 with his immediate family at the age of 20 through the Humanitarian Operation. He understands the challenges involved in assimilating into a new society. His mother taught him that actions speak louder than words and he has practiced this motto, working alongside men and women from Saddleback Church and Orange County Supervisor Andrew Do to bring food to residents facing challenges in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. He has been a faithful fighter for democracy and human rights for those who have been oppressed under the Vietnamese Communist Regime.

Council Member Nguyen’s focus is on bridging differences among residents, creating an understanding environment, taking good care of seniors, and keeping this “All-America City” safe. Council Member Nguyen intends to better the city by increasing money for road improvements, addressing the homelessness challenge, and maintaining a limited municipal government while ensuring public safety resources for fire and police remain strong.
