Celebrate Earth Day with your Westminster Community on April 20th!

Come out to Coronet Park or Margie L. Rice Park to give a small amount of0s your time to make a big impact. Both locations will feature volunteer service projects, engaging activities for the whole family and information booths. Learn to be more conservation-minded while having a fun time! 

Adults, families, youth groups, service clubs, etc. are all welcome. Volunteer will receive a commemorative t-shirt and snacks.

Movies and Music

Movie Nights

Grab some popcorn and your lawn chair! Westminster is showing the latest hit movies, and occasional throwback movie, at the Civic Center Sunken Gardens!

The community is invited to gather for a FREE movie on Thursday nights. Enjoy exciting activities, crafts, games, giveaways, and more! Movie showing will begin at dusk.

Delicious food, drinks, and desserts will also be available for purchase from food trucks!

Summer Concerts

Lace up your dancing shoes and jam out with us at our Summer Concerts at the Civic Center Sunken Gardens! Bands perform on Thursday nights from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Admission is FREE.

No matter the type of music you enjoy, all our bands will get you moving, grooving and singing along! Enjoy dance worthy bands, activities, giveaways, and more! A variety of tasty food, drink, and dessert trucks will also be available each night. 

August 8th - Summer Concerts with WPD's National Night Out

Join us August 8^th for a special Summer Concert collaboration with Westminster Police Department’s National Night Out! This night will feature all the fun of a Concert Night with the addition of police vehicle displays, WPD’s K9 Dragon, a Community BBQ, activities, and more! National Night out will begin at 5pm, with a Summer Concert beginning at 6pm.

Safety Day

During the summer, the Community Services and Recreation Department hosts the annual Public Awareness Safety Day at Sigler Park, 7200 Plaza St. The event provides children and their families an opportunity to become familiar with the City’s safety staff and services. The event also features demonstrations by the Westminster Police Department and Orange County Fire Authority.

Fall Festival

Halloween Spooktacular

Movie Night feat. Kung Fu Panda 4 | 6:30pm

Come out for a night of spooky fun at the Westminster Civic Center! Westminster's Halloween Spooktacular will host a variety of ghoulish activities, games, food, fun, and more. We kick off the event with an exciting Trunk or Treat and close out the evening with a Movie Night. There will be plenty of spooky fun!

Tree Lighting Ceremony

Traditionally held the first Monday evening in December, in the Civic Center Sunken Garden for the annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony. We will light the tree, sing carols and of course... be visited by Santa Claus himself.

Breakfast With Santa

Santa is making a special trip to Westminster to delight and entertain at this traditional event. The cost is $15.00 and includes breakfast, crafts, and a stocking for each child. Children must be accompanied by an adult. All family members in attendance must be pre-registered. Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis as space is limited. No walk-in registration will be accepted at the door.

Children are invited to write a letter to Santa, and receive a personally answered response! Each year, more than 500 letters are received and answered.
