How do I dispute a Notice of Violation?
You should first contact the Code Enforcement Officer directly listed at bottom of the Notice. Once you have contacted the officer, if you still feel that the Notice was issued in error, you may contact the Code Enforcement Manager via telephone at (714) 548-3478.
I want to report illegal dumping.
If there is an immediate danger, dial 911. Otherwise, please report it to the Code Enforcement Division at (714) 548-3246 or via the MyWestminster mobile app. Dumping and/or abandonment of anything is a violation and subject to fines. You may contact the Midway City Sanitary District to schedule a free bulky item pick up to dispose of appliances and furniture at (714) 893-3553. Your television, computers, and other household hazardous waste may also be disposed of free of charge. For more information contact the Hazardous Waste Hotline at (714) 834-6752.
Code Enforcement can be contacted through City Hall at (714) 548-3246. If the pollution is occurring at the time of your call, or after business hours, the police department can be contacted for action at (714) 898-3315.
May I put up a sign on a telephone pole?
No sign may be placed or maintained upon any portion of a public right-of-way, including street signs, street trees, or utility poles.

Can I pave my front lawn?
No. Current City codes require that at least 50% of your front yard be landscaped with foliage. You may not use your front lawn for off-street parking, or for permanent storage of vehicles. Using your front lawn as a parking lot is not only prohibited, it also contributes to a negative appearance in the community and decreases property values. Please do your part to follow City standards and maintain your front lawn.

All property owners are required to maintain their property. This includes paint, landscaped areas, parking areas, commercial center signage, and other structural improvements. Also, keep in mind that commercial parking areas are to be utilized for the parking of light passenger vehicles, and no overnight parking or storage is permitted.
