Parkway Tree Planting Programs
The City of Westminster offers two programs to assist our residents and business owners to offset the cost of planting trees.
The first program City employee will plant the designated purchased tree by the resident/business. A check in the amount of $330.00 per tree and root barrier will be send to the following address:
City of Westminster
Attention Veronica Johnson
8200 Westminster Boulevard
Westminster, CA 92683
Please include the following form (make sure it has been completed and signed). The City's staff will plant the tree, which will take approximately four to six weeks for planting.
The second program is when the resident/business would like to plant on their own designated trees from the list provided. City offers the Tree Voucher which includes the tree and root barrier. Once the Tree Voucher has been filled out and sign, please contact Public Works Yard at (714) 895-2876 to schedule a time and date to visit the City Corporation Yard (14381 Olive St., Westminster, CA 92683). Make sure to bring your sign tree voucher to the Corporation Yard to obtain paperwork for the free tree from a local nursery.
Please remember that while the City will keep the tree trimmed, the homeowner or business owner is responsible for watering the tree.
