The City of Westminster is committed to water for future generations and to Making Conservation a California Way of Life. To ensure efficient water use, Westminster has year-round water restrictions, found in Municipal Code 13.14, that are in line with State regulations. Below is a summary of Westminster's conservation restrictions.

Commercial Properties

• Restaurants may only serve water upon request
• Lodging establishments must offer option to decline linen service
• Car washes and laundries must use re-circulating water systems
• Restaurants must use pre-rinse spray valves

Exceptions

• Residents may water by hand-held bucket or hand-held hose with shut-off nozzle at any time
• Residents may water for a short time to adjust or repair irrigation system
• Residents may use low flow drip irrigation systems
