HOUSING FOR ALL
Westminster has a proven history of providing affordable housing options when compared to neighboring cities. The City is in the process of creating two new options to meet the housing needs of the community. Pictured below are the locations of the projects and renderings of what they will look like once completed.
Della Rosa Apartments
Welcome to your new home. The Della Rosa Apartments are nestled in central Westminster, conveniently close to the 22 and 405 freeways. Residents will enjoy easy access to schools, parks, and transit. In addition to its desirable location, Della Rosa will also help the City meet affordable housing goals by leveraging public investment from the City, County, and State with private developer investment. Della Rosa replaced a highly visible, blighted property with 50 attractive new apartment units. The transformation dramatically improved the image of Beach Boulevard and surrounding properties and acts as a catalyst for further new development.
Westminster Crossing
Westminster Crossing is the proposed new construction of 65 units of rental housing in Westminster, California. The residential units are being built to be spacious and feature fully equipped kitchens and private bathrooms, dishwashers as well as hard flooring and carpet. Multiple community gathering spaces will be provided to all the residents to encourage a sense of community and belonging including a community garden, outdoor lounge with BBQ area, synthetic turf play area and a tot lot. Westminster Crossing will have a dedicated full-time, on-site manager that resides in the development and actively manages the community. Westminster Crossing will be focused on fostering a holistic environment for the residents by providing wrap-around services including, but not limited to, adult educational classes, health and wellness programs and skill building courses. The property’s hours of operation will be 9:00AM-6:00PM. All common area space at the property will be purpose driven and designed specifically to accommodate residents within the arts context. It is anticipated that programmed space will include: a homework room, conference rooms, art studio/maker space, gym/fitness/dance room, community room, property manager offices, case manager office and service provider office.
